## About this data centre

NTT's 32 MW east London data centre, with an 80 MVA on-site substation

NTT's London 1 Data Center is at Yew Tree Avenue in Dagenham, east London. NTT lists 12,800 m² of IT space in the first building (25,600 m² once fully built out) and 32 MW of critical IT load (64 MW once fully built out), with an average power density of 2.5 kW/m² and ancillary space on site.

Power is supplied at 132 kV from two grid connections into an on-site 80 MVA substation with two 132/11 kV transformers in 2N. Two separate UPS systems (A and B supply) each have N+1 redundancy, with N+1 diesel generators for emergency power. Cooling is a redundant water-cooled system with N+1 free cooling and a compressorless design, using a cold air flooded room with suite cooling units and hot-aisle containment. Fire protection includes VESDA early smoke detection, water mist suppression and fire walls with at least 60 minutes of separation.

London 1 is carrier- and cloud-neutral, with connectivity to LINX, carrier meet-me rooms, dark fibre infrastructure, redundant cabling and pre-cabling, and links to NTT's other London-area data centres. Security includes a 24/7 security operations centre and service control centre, palisade fencing, CCTV, ram-raid bollards to BS PAS 68:2013 and card-swipe entry and exit on all doors. NTT offers 24/7 remote hands, installation, client implementation, facility and audit support services.
