Start with the requirements that matter

Choosing a data centre starts with your deployment. Consider where your team needs access, how much rack space you require and the power your equipment will draw. A small installation may need part of a rack, while a larger project may need several racks or a private area. Think about future growth as well as your first installation, so your shortlist reflects the space and power you may need later.

Compare location and connectivity together

A convenient location can make visits, deliveries and maintenance easier. Connectivity matters just as much: consider the providers you already use, connections to your customers and any links to other sites or cloud services. A carrier-neutral facility can offer a choice of network providers, but the exact services and connections available for your deployment still need confirming with the operator.

Use the region and city pages to explore the published facilities within an area. Regional pages include facilities in their child locations, helping you compare a wider area without searching every city separately. The map shows facilities with recorded coordinates; the list also includes those without a mapped position.

Look beyond a single specification

Facility power capacity describes the site and does not tell you the allocation available for your rack. Check both the listed power options and what the operator can offer for your equipment. Review resilience claims in context, including whether a Tier designation is certified, aligned or unverified. Certifications can apply to a particular organisation, site or service, so check their scope and current validity for your requirements.

A missing detail does not mean a feature is unavailable. Open the facility profile to see the published information and its verification status, then include any unanswered questions in your enquiry. Pricing, current space, rack power allocation and delivery dates need to be confirmed for your project.

Share your requirements once

Add two to four facilities to compare their differences side by side. If you would like help getting started, use the shortlist builder to tell us your preferred location, rack space, power and timing. Choose the data centres you want to contact, then send your requirements in one enquiry. Data Centre Finder is free to use, independent and carries no obligation to proceed.

Frequently asked questions
